Come talk that smack when you are 60 and been shifting for 30 years.

It really is just better all round, both from an economy standpoint and the actual equipment wear side. The early ones had their problems, sure, but I can remember when they said that portable phone thing will never work.

In really interested in the thoughts and ideas that went into the drivers choosing the stick over the auto, not so much that auto drivers are sissies or none of that childish crap.

 

I am 60...

 

I could care less what truck I drive, what transmissuon it has, what color it is etc etc etc.

I just get the job done with what tools are given to me.

I dont expect anything in life to come easy for me.....it never has

There are too many companies out there and i have worked my behind off my whole life and now i have come to the place where if i can't get what I want i will go elsewhere..

Breakdown pay on the road varies but Ive gotten as much as 100/day plus a motel room I never get it while at 840 shop no matter how long im there.

 

That's why I am glad i live close to 840.
My pick-up is parked there and i get repairs done while i am on hometime.
