I am doin a 34 hour reset in a truck stop. When I pulled in there was only one crappy space available. Can I move without messing up the reset? My Qualcomm knows everything this truck does

I know on my omnitracs I can move around a lot so long as I shut off the engine for 1 minute after I'm done to preserve original status. This should be the case for most people but not necessarily all.

You should be able to move a short distance within the truck stop even within a couple miles without triggering drive time. But some are set so sensitive as to record drive time as soon as the brake are pushed in.

A 34 hour break is not mandatory and it is not the be all end all changri la zen essence of being in this world. So if you did move, and it did mess up your 34, no big deal, you still have at least 10 hours left to fix it then go back to work on recaps and try again next week for that true 34 bliss.

If he has a preplan with a tight schedule out to the opposite coast he may need the restart to avoid having to maybe lose the load one day into the trip.

    Been there done that.

Call your log department. They should be able to tell you how far and how fast you can move without switching to drive time. Usually between 5-10 mph and 3/10th a mile to 5+ miles. Every company is different.

I've driven past ?? MPH and ?? miles and maintained my status [very recently]. Just saying there is hope he's at a carrier that works with drivers to help them both make a little money.

Look under performance monitoring, then go to the parameters tab. The bot is how far you can drive till your qualcomm kicks over to driving. The eot is the speed in which itll kicks it over to drive.
