Can someone please tell me what this means? I've started noticing this more and more in the past few months. First of all, I have a 65 mph truck and I usually set the cruise on 63 or 64 (for several reasons). So naturally, I live in the right lane and I get passed more than I pass others. Here's the issue: at least 2 or 3 times a day, a passing truck starts crossing the zipper as they go by me. I mean seriously coming into my lane while still beside me. Is this a secret code for something I'm unaware of?

Do they have theyre signal light on too ?

Easiest way to stop them from doing it...hug the zipper as their front bumper gets even with your trailer ICC bumper, and don't flinch. They'll hug the chicken line instead. I'm in an even slower truck than you and they try the same thing. Makes you want to buy a cheap paint ball gun and redecorate their truck and trailer

Wind? Crappy driving? Sleepy? Not paying attention? Most likely. Usually no secrete to it.
Someone who personally had a beef against you or you company might do it just to scare you.
Had someone do this to one of our drivers within sight of a DOT officer, his pen was ready. And before he got him pulled over, the same driver shotgunned his brakes infront of ODFL, one of his trailers jacked around as a result but he kept it under control. Idiot did just a mile or two away from freaking banning.Dave_in_AZ, Clyde07 and bzinger Thank this. -
No, never. It's not like they're coming back over just a little early. It's more like they're trying to push me off the road.

I would hate to think that many people have a personal beef with me and I work for a small company (less than 200 trucks), very little turnover, so I don't think there's that many guys out there that have a beef with us. It's happening on a daily basis though.FerrissWheel Thanks this.

Then I would go with the crappy driving theory.Highway Sailor, LindaPV, skellr and 3 others Thank this.

That's what they do when they're watching a movie or texting while driving.
No joke, Yesterday around 04:30 I had a ABF driver pulling doubles pass me on a downhill, and then almost take my hood off coming back over. When I passed him on the next upgrade, I saw why. He had a TV screen clipped to his sun visor, and was watching a movie on it.Highway Sailor, bottomdumpin, tucker and 2 others Thank this. -

When i was teaching my younger sister to drive, (she was 15) i took her around the block a few times in my little Chevy s10 pickup, my ma wanted a pic of her youngest child behind the wheel... well ma stands in the street near my dads truck, out of the way mind you..... and my sister, verbally freaking out, why is she in the street! Its ok i tell her, just go by, tons of room, you will have this happen minus the camera... well shes drifting towards ma, i tell her STRAIGHTEN OUT! She responds im watching mom to make sure i dont hit her! Well.... she side swiped dads truck..... of course its his little girl... he laughed it off.... nice dad... woulda torn me a new one...
