Swapped my loaded trailer (in Menomonie) that was headed to Fargo with a driver who had an empty(dispatch's plan). Pu at Jennie-O in Barron headed home with a load that actually delivers in FL, 75 miles from da' haus. Hopefully I'll have enough time to get my applications sent out now that the wife's PT is complete.

Not much happening in my world. Delivered to Cavendish picked up my load and doing a 34 in Jamestown. Not my number 1 choice for a 34 but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

I was pleasantly surprised that there's more to Jamestown, ND than meets the eye as you drive through. There's also more truck parking than Trucker's Path lists.

I stayed off the main Jamestown exit in close proximity to Wal Mart. There's several restaurants around here. All within walking distance that this hog doesn't even mind!

I spent both nights in Applebee's. I called the restaurant and told the manager my situation and that I wanted to eat and drink there. She said bring it, so I did!

I had the appetizer sampler last night, the 12 Oz sirloin tonight. I wish I would have had the sirloin last night also. It was a solid choice.

There's a restaurant downtown Jamestown, I had my eye on, but I couldn't make it work this trip. Parking is tight there and I couldn't find anything close. I asked if I could park there. They said I could, but I couldn't fit. There were too many 4-wheelers.

Even in Applebee's I heard talk of people going there after they left here.

It's worth a shot if you get the chance. I've got every inclination it will be worth your time. If I get the shot, I'm gonna make it happen.

    It's called "Idk." Screenshot_20160811-190223.png

Overall this has been a decent 34. Especially somewhere that I thought I wouldn't enjoy one.

Applebee's is a solid choice. It's also close to many parking options.

There's also LA Carreta Mexican restaurant and Grizzly's Grill & Saloon beside Applebee's.

There's also 2 Laundromats in town. I dropped my trailer at the Superpumper Shell (after asking of course.)

Jamestown is overall a decent place for a 34. They also have a Buffalo Museum here. I didn't make it there but maybe some other time!!

Much better app for finding parking is RoadBreakers. Been a life saver a few times now! https://roadbreakers.com/ I submit new places to it myself whenever I find any.

Definitely check it out. It lists truck stops, restaurants/fast food joints that have truck parking, walmarts (and others like some Lowes) that allow trucks, and even where there's some dirt lots and street parking.

Could possibly. Everything was ####ed up today.

Got lost trying to find my receiver in Chicago. After 2 times around i finally had the girl there just stay on the phone with me and guide me in turn by turn.

Then...my trailer is nose-heavy and the legs were catching on the hump that i have to back over to get to the dock off the street. I left it up to Magnum to decide if they wanted me to power over it. They decided to not risk it. But i think they'll go with my idea to get some straps in the morning that the receiver can use their forklift to pull enough of the pallets to the rear to put some weight there hence lifting the landing gear so i can get over the hump.

Then ran out of hours there (in the middle of Chicago). This woman does not sleep in her truck in the middle of Chicago. Boogied my ### on out of town for the night. Will get straps in the morning and go back to that awful place and try again!

Hopefully it'll be a much better day tomorrow!

After I get done with this one I get a load from Jenny-O in WI to take to Indiana and Ohio.
