I'd find a different route. Another point is that it is illegal to shift gears while crossing rr tracks. I don't know if it's just the truck, but if you have to stop, the trailer is probably included since your vehicle is still on the tracks. If you want to, I use eagle eyes and blow through the second stop sign. Is that a truck restricted route by chance?

I'd find a different route: Son let me tell you a story, that ain't always possible
Dye Guardian Thanks this. -
There's a tavern at that truck stop, not the most friendly people run it, unless you are kin, yet I still stop
-
I had this happen to me before. Customer was right off the tracks. I stop at the first one. Then pull to the second one because I can't fully see the highway. Well guess what happen when I stop at the 2nd one? Here comes the train. .... kinda had to pull out no matter what

If you are going to the Pilot at exit 172, you can't avoid that intersection. It's the road going into the truck stop.
To top all that off, it's a very busy 5-lane hwy you've got to turn into. There is a Loves and J at the next exit going both directions, they have much better access. I live in Dickson and I avoid that area as much as possible because there is so much traffic. As I said, they are in the process of installing a red light, that will make the intersection much better but will probably make the traffic worse . -
call your lawyer and ask what would happen in each case, and which one would he have a better chance of winning a case against

Bad advise, especially if your lawyer thinks the RRX would be easier to beat. 60 day DQ if he's unsuccessful. Lawyer still gets paid. You sit at home unemployed. Penalty for the stop sign infraction are much less severe.

No cop except a real a-hole would ever cite you at that particular intersection for stopping on the tracks or running the stop sign. Even if the cop did, no sane judge would hold up the charge. There are probably 100s of trucks stop on those tracks and/or run the stop sign every day, I don't know of anybody that has ever gotten a ticket. You've just got to use common sense.
Most of the time, I'll stop before crossing the tracks and drive through the road stop sign. All this is a moot point anyway for that particular intersection as the stop light will be up and running in a couple of weeks. Then the proper procedure will be to stop at the red light before crossing the tracks and proceed over the tracks and through the intersection when the light turns green.Pumpkin Oval Head Thanks this. -
if that were the case i would find a better lawyer
