He never said it was on an inspection form nor did he indicate it was during an inspection. All he asked about was being issued a "written warning". He didn't indicate what it was for nor how it was issued nor what the warning was for. It could'a been for a seat belt or speeding from any number of many sources from a trooper to a village cop. It could'a been for no CDL or no DOT physical.... any number of things but he didn't say. It could'a been in his personal vehicle. He didn't say, so neither did I in my initial reply.

To be more specific, it was in Massachusetts, in a CMV, and was for speeding. I was issued a written warning that my company needed to sign and send back to the state. My safety director is the person who told me that warnings are worse than tickets for the reasons that I mentioned earlier.

OK so now we know it was an official CSA inspection sheet warning. These are the worst kind because you cannot fight a warning. You safety director is right.

Now the next question would be how much over the speed limit did he write it for? 1-5 miles over is supposed to carry zero CSA points in speeding. It would be interesting if these inspectors have found an end-around to that by issuing warnings that would negatively affect those drivers who are speeding in the 1-5 pre-points threshold.

This is why I run 2-3 miles below the speed limit always. Protect the CDL which is worth $1 million dollars over trying to gamble making a few hundred dollars over the same period by speeding and possibly losing the whole license for 60-90 days for too many tickets/points. Once a CDL driver loses their licence, boom no company will touch them for 3-5 years. So speeding can cost a whole lot more than the little few hundred dollars that might be gained by doing so.

Great, another road hazard for the world to deal with. Why not just park it instead of being a moving pothole?

Doesn't go on MVR, goes on PSP. PSP is the thing aside from MVR companies look at when hiring new drivers. Now the company hiring you will not inherit your PSP violations but they will look at the probability that a driver with an excess of PSP violations is likely to beget even more PSP violations and therefore will be less likely to hire said driver.

I've got a ton of videos showing drivers breaking the law to get around me because they felt the speed limit was just too slow for them. I submit, why don't they go to a pschyotherapist and get a super-prescription of Thorazine and get themselves off the road; nobody needs their angry driving out here. There are still way too many wrecks out here due to angry driving. Speed Kills.

No, speed DIFFERENTIAL kills, regardless of what's posted on any signs.
