Whenever I have a hard time sleeping, I just watch a couple of my own videos and knocked out quick.

Run team for a few months. After that you will be able to sleep through anything at any noise level!

Split shifts are the worst issue to decent sleep.

You work from 5am to 7pm then you have to work from 5pm to 7am the next day.

And sometimes you just don't get a good night's sleep for no particular reason but you still need to hammer that 600+.

All I can say is if you're too tired to drive, SLEEP. The late delivery is a small thing. Wrecking because you're exhausted is a BIG thing.

I sleep that way as well. Keeps the hood and front of my truck in one piece. Let them run all over the trailer. Much more peaceful that way for sure

After sleeping in a moving truck with my mentor who was always in a rush for 4 weeks, sleeping in my own truck is like sleeping on a cloud.

While I prefer to sleep at home, I sleep better in my truck. 10 to 14 hours working and it's one hour in the b-seat watching Netflix, 8 hours in the sleeper, one hour wake up stuff and at it again.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Get a 2" twin size memory foam pad from Walmart for about $80. Then you really will be sleeping on a cloud.

When you do 600 + miles a day you won't have any problem
Sleeping reefer on stop start cycle won't even wake you up

My wife and I run team, I'm the designated night driver so one day she ordered a Casper mattress online. It was like $600 but holy WOW!! She can be bouncing down US69 in Oklahoma and I'm passed smooth out in the back, she'd pretty much have to catch air to wake me up sleeping on that thing. It isn't cheap, but if you can afford it it's totally worth it.

About the only thing that wakes me up anymore is if the reefer shuts off.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
