What is labor intensive about a tanker ? I thought flat bed was more work ?
-
Tanker? You have to baby sit the thing, throw hose, climb up to undo the bolt latches after twice checking zero pressure in tank. You climb again after cleaning for certain tanks. Other tanks are cyro cold and so forth. Worry worry worry. Baby sit those. Still other tanks have steam to loosen product to unload while you recline a hammock from your sleeper to the first ladder rung for hours.
Tanker is easy, the actual doing is more of a worry and babysitting than anything else.pattyj Thanks this. -
Flatbed can be hard work depending what you're hauling and if it requiring tarping.Tanker is alright if you're physically fit.You have a heavy hose you drag that you hook up to whatever your draining your tank to or loading your tank which is alot of bending not good for someone with a weak back.Once you hook up your hose you climb on top of trailer and open lid or commonly called manhole cover. You do need a strong back otherwise you could risk falling off the trailer steps.Ooops Thanks this.

Maybe Bull hauling...
Nice equipment with lots of lights, big power usually.
Dispatcher is usually the owner, easy to get along with communication wise.
Cargo walks on and walks off.
Stockyards and Auction barns usually open 24/7, or they leave a gate open for you
and a note telling where the light switch is.
Heaviest work is untying one end of the cut gate and swinging it back..
No one bothers you while fueling and others park well clear of your rig.
Lanes are good up thru the midwest.
An option?????? -
Op sent me a pm and I explained facts .
Never heard back so I'm assuming just lazy.
