So what's the policy on detention time? Ex: can you still put in for it if you missed the appointment time by 30 min due to traffic?

 

Picking up tomorrow in NC going to Brighton, MI for my first home time! It's gonna be a few days longer than i had planned lol (they're getting me home a few days earlier than i requested... But I'm going on a planned camping trip. So i can't exactly get back to work earlier.) so like 6 days off for me.

No complaints! I need to take my hazmat test as well anyway.

If your late and its your fault, no detention.

If your late because of a slow Reciever or some other reason beyond your control, they will usually still honor it.

$15 HR after 2 hrs past appt time... Max $150

 

Ok, I was late due to part of US 8 being shut down and having to go around using the detour they put up. I know being late is my fault but I'm wondering if the road being shut down would fall into the category of being out of my control? Also sitting here at Jennie O and they had to shut the plant down for something so everything's backed up and I have been sitting here 4 hours so far with no door.

 

Ask them to drop your trailer and go east about a quarter mile there is a small truck stop on the south side of 8. We have dropped trailers there. Finish your break then keep moving. You are talking about Barron right?

 

Yep in Barron, so drop it and have them load it and come pick it back up after my 10hr break is over?

Nope they didn't say anything, they changed my appointment time 3 times the other day so they might not know when I was really supposed to get here.

 

Just go up and tell shipping what your doing. Tell them this help ensure on time delivery by giving you a fresh clock. They pretty friendly folks there
