@Don1975 It sure is a myth..I applied with Schneider and got a call from a recruiter then a phone interview. Ended up with a conditional job offer(app to offer, 48hours) and right to orientation after school.
Problem for me in FL is I don't live close enough to any of the tanker companies terminals..The ones I spoke with require you to live within a certain amount of miles..

Being near Tampa or Jacksonville, especially for tankers is key. Where I am (east coast) my choices are slim as it's a high tech area.
