Yup... Unless by "fix it" he means it gets dropped to speeding vs reckless.

When he risks higher insurance premiums due to your "first offense" things might change.

You are correct, sir. You're not going to run triple digit speed distracted.

Virginia law will not allow you the school option for cdl holder's regardless of vehicle driven during offense.

I hope it's paid off, because when that hits your MVR, you won't even be able to drive a school bus part time. Thing is, doing 100+mph you absolutely should lose your license. You should probably have been arrested. Where I live, anything 15+ and they will arrest you, make you bond out and get a guy who doesn't have a bad MVR come and tow your car... That will run you 300, the bond will run you between 300-500 depending, and the lawyer will probably be 3-10k as well.

I hold a Class B Commercial in California, while I hate to admit it, I have received a citation or two, all for speeding. As long as the vehicle was not commercial, and I was not operating a vehicle for employment, I was allowed to take traffic school to keep it off my record. I have a feeling that is why they did not cite him for the 105, he would have ineligible for traffic school, and with the amount of commercial traffic around Bakersfield, they know what will screw you as a driver and what won't.

He only cited me at 95 because he says it was all he could get once he caught up.

Check the citation and make sure the checkbox in the "Booking Required" square is empty.

    PlebeR and Lepton1 Thank this.
