Depends on where I'm going. Most of the time it's a TS. Although I do park in rest areas

I would die of boredom sitting at a rest area. No place to eat. No Wifi, no showers, no laundry mat, etc. At least the ones around here are that bad. Nothing but dirty bathrooms and snack vending machines. And dog poop all over the grass from lazy people.

What would you consider Virginia to be?

Have only gotten to page 50 so far. It seems the people that fail at Mercer are ones that don't plan ahead. They take loads to dead areas then blame Mercer for no freight. Or they sit for too long being picky, then complain they sit for half a week. And then blame it on Mercer. Doesn't seem like they're very smart. My Dad ran regional but got the O/O bug and he failed because of the same thing. Instead of moving and getting paid, he would sit for long periods waiting for the luxury loads, and the costs of sitting for days or weeks made him go under.

If a guy lived near norfolk he would be looking at absolute worse case scenario of 1.60 a mile to ky. Ya that's not very good but that is a worst case scenario.

You have to find a balance. Just because your wheels are turning doesn't mean you are earning. I have no problem sitting for a few days. And I have a payment albeit monthly not weekly that I have to make. Some guys here take every load their coordinator offers them and the still fail.

In the Norfolk area, you could probably run back and forth within a few states, make $1.80+ and be home every other day.
