I have many times and never got a ticket.Just watch your turns and if you'll be going straight for awhile stay in the center lane.Ppl park in the lane to unload and cars always stop waiting for someone.I learned from exp unless you absolutely have to,stay out of the far right lane. You also don't wanna risk hitting a parked vehicle.

Having jumped into this thread based on title and first post I'll say this. It is legal. However, its highly inadvisable. I've been to Hunts Point once and if routed there again I will quit. It is the most incomprehensible mess of misleading signs and idiots in mechanized motion the Good Lord has ever allowed to happen

Er, read the link I posted. According to NYC DOT it is NOT legal unless you are going to Long Island and then only using the listed routes.

And meanwhile they route oversize in Manhattan because the toll gates on RFK, Whitestone, ad Throg's Neck are too small for oversized loads.

Not going there anymore myself, but some others do, we only have 53 foot trailers. Hunt's Point from Brooklyn isn't bad if you take the Whitestone after running east on the Long Island Expressway and then back track.

Lost in New York isn't funny or fun. And never delivered in Manhattan.

My first and only time to nyc was Brooklyn. It wasn't that bad but I trip plan over and over, google map the area so much I start to remember every street.

But I forgot to trip plan how I'm going to get out -_- couldn't stay at the receiver because it was a sidewalk/block the whole street for a few hours unload. I just avoided every bridge until I found another truck and just follow him back to the interstate lol

If it was a USA truck he'd be stuck, jack knifed all to hell, trying to do a uturn at the entrance.

Hunts Point is the easiest delivery I had everade in the city. I thought the truck route was pretty clearly marked
