The ramp being slippery is my number one worry about ever doing food service. I could handle the work but that ramp scares me about being slippery!Mike2633 and road_runner Thank this. -

That's how it SHOULD work anyway.Big Don and road_runner Thank this. -
Freight volumes are super soft industry wide. It's difficult to tack on charges that other carriers would not charge. It's kinda BS since it is usually the driver that ultimately gets screwed the most.
Otr has the same issue. Some won't tack on detention charges cause other carriers will let their drivers sit unpaid for 12+ hours. It's just the cost of doing business... both shippers and receivers know all of this and will milk it at the drivers expense.
Only defence LTL has is the driver can mostly work around the freight and just say:. Thanks for letting me wait, hope you don't need your freight today cause I won't be back till tomorrow. Then slam down the door and lock down your trailer. -
Super soft industry wide?
Could have fooled me after my 21 stops today.
One was a 7 skid pickup at some medical tubing place. I've never loaded that much there at one time.road_runner and Mike2633 Thank this. -
