If "daily drivers" means you are home daily, you can deduct job related expenses that are not reimbursed by employer. But depending on whether you itemize or take standard defuction, unless those expenses exceed $750 IIRC the actual expenses are not worth taking.
Stuff like work gloves, maybe personal protective equipment required for the job MIGHT be deductible. Your meals would not be deductible IIRC. -

Not unless it use it more for work than personal. Same goes with Wifi jetpack with otr. If it was use mostly for cat videos on youtube than google maps, you can't deduct it.Cottonmouth85 Thanks this.

The trucking magazines cover this issue pretty well. Landline, Overdrive, etc. Google them and search their articles. Just remember anything you would be buying, even if you didn't have the driving job isn't likely a deductible expense. Things that are necessary & primarily for the job might be deductible. The IRS.gov site has good info.

Oh when I was OTR, I deducted everything, clothes,food,gloves,phone,phone bill.
