It's a pattern that has repeated since I started here...1 good month, 1 o.k. month, 2 bad months. I have actually had 3 weeks in a row below 2500...

I've seen the writing on the wall about my future here, it looks something like this

 

Oil field rates are cheap. Most of those companies are based in different states and have insurance out of a different state than North Dakota.

I was just thinking about how expensive things get in places like the oil patch can get. Even a truck wash for Blue Beacon is 20% higher due to the amount they have to pay in order to attract employees. I would imagine that the medical facilities would have to do the same and pass the extra costs on to the customer's insurance. And since the population of ND has increased greatly due to the oil fields, I could imagine that the need of medical treatment increases. Plus, the oil industry is a dangerous field to work in, and the kind of injuries aren't usually a simple treatment. I could imagine that a lot of the physicians in that area don't treat many stubbed toes and hangnail infections.
