What's Prime's policy and understanding on parking your bobtail when at home? Do they have drop yards in the CT, MA, RI area?

Probably a great question for your recruiter or safety with the company

I don't know what prime did. We talked with safety in FFE which allowed us to park bobtail on our land at home. We took the risks of whatever might happen to it (once had a tow out due to bad ground getting stuck, a few hundred ollars to the little tow truck that used his forks and staked us out 2 feet at a time out of that mud.) We were big enough to put a trailer there, but put it up at the local truckstop with a kingpin lock on it.

At the time it was nice to have good neighbors, cranking at midnight to leave does not sit well with some people.

You take the truck home , ussually you will drop the trailer at a drop yard or a nearby customer who does drop and hook, but there have been people who were allowed to take the trailer home with them for short periods of time but that is something between the driver and the fleet manager

I have a problem with parking at home. I live on a tree lined road that would essentially require me to mount a brush guard above the windshield. :) Hence drop yards or other solutions ....

Come on. This TTR where any and all come for legal advice, getting a tooth pulled, medical advice and most importantly drug test advice.

Do you have a truckstop in the area you can park at. I would imagine too, it would be up to local codes, esp if you are in a city.

We have 3 acres out of the city limits, so it is whether or not the road is muddy or not as to where he parks at. If muddy it has to stay in town at the local truckstop. If he has the trailer on, then sometimes he parks at Walmart, at one time they quit letting trucks park there, but new management lets them in again.

Sometimes he brings the trailer home, sometimes he has to drop it at Michelin Tire or a couple of other places according to where he is at when he delivers the last load.

Don't know if they have drop yards up in those areas. It is hard enough to find TS in some of the northern areas.

There's two truck stops (A Pilot and a T/A), and only 1 Walmart that looks like it takes overnight parking.

I live outside of city limits, but its on a winding 2 lane cow path that the neighbors are fond of the low overhanging trees. If I could move the brush guard up to cover the roof, I might be able to clear a path... :)

Dont park at walmart, unless you want to pay a tow bill and storage fees
