I seemingly like how Holland and GPT run,equipment and leave a driver alone(providing he's doing his job).

 

I did not realize GPT was tied to Loves. I like the exclusive PFJ relationship Holland has. I never liked the "fuel optimizer" system some companies use and glad to be away from that.

 

Yeah spoke with Nikki at Holland and as long as it was PFJ your good. Been parked next to some Holland drivers but haven't got the chance to chat it up,either their curtains were drawn or no one to be found, it's amazing how much nicer a Freightliner looks with a windshield visor.

 

Forgot to ask,does Holland have driver facing camera or just outward facing? Do they also have a referral bonus as I'd be willing to put your name down as you've been very informative.

 

There's been times when I did mess up and filled tanks at a TA but no one really said a word about it until they put out a reminder fleet message. Basically I think it's the deals that companies get at certain chains or programs and it saves the company a bundle. I prefer TA/petro to love's myself, but in some places there isn't much of a choice. We do run some very heavy (but legal) loads but considering we have well equipped trucks I guess the increased trade off is more frequent stops for fuel. I'm currently running a gross of 79,500 and change with 1/2 tank, but after the windy drive across part of Wyoming today I was glad for the ballast.

 

Thinking about both companies Holland and GPT, just a few things cant find on either one, main thing is starting pay......Know miles are great at both of them and equipment is good and they are both smaller compaines

 

Dont know where you are getting 2-3 loads to Syracuse, Helwig has M-W-F del for Tyson, and T-THr-Sat loads for Cargill that go to Buffalo, Rochester,Syracuse, and Albany, I just left them on Nov 14, have to say best 3 years of driving I've had in along time..Just couldn't take BS and miles dropping anymore.Did you drive for Helwig>

 

Best 3 years but tired of BS and miles dropping. I'm assuming the BS and mile issue was of lately?

 

STexan, Helwig is not the same their accident rate gone thru the roof in the last year, 2 fatel, no they are not running back out west only special occassions for Tyson then it is a select group of people mainly old Stevens drivers who are in the "good oleboy group". If you complain about miles going down or for lords sake post something on facebook about your pay(straight off QC) they say you are talking negative about company boot you out the door, heck they(OPM) will not let you talk to James either.

 

Do you prefer to get 50 here,50 there to stack shower credits?
