Man I thought quarterly was bad enough

 

I guess the recruiting department needs new meat to make their quotas.

 

I have a new perspective of things. Cargo let me go with just cause. I did what I did, a ticket and a couple of minor incidences. I believe now that the company could foresee a big slowdown in dry freight and this is their way of "trimming the sails to take care of their senior guys and gals." After all, this was an election year and the general mood is always trepidation and the economy, uncertain. I believe it will rebound under Trump, but it will take time.
I applied with 15 companies and only got two invites, Navajo Express and Total Transportation of Mississippi. Was it due to ticket and incident OR slow freight time with the winter coming and even slower freight. If freight was running, I don't think I would have had as hard time getting a new gig. I am going with TOTAL after Thanksgiving. Maybe they lost too many people. I don't know. But grateful for the experience at CARGO. I want to believe that they had to do what they had to do to take care of the company and its senior drivers.

 

You have a good attitude, Torres. I'm still in disbelief that Cargo let you go over such menial things, but I'm glad to see you're keeping your head up and not letting that slow you down. I sincerely hope Total works out for you. Best of luck, pal!
