So I get to Las Vegas with light traffic, which changed as I was headed out of Las Vegas.
At mile 27 at 1030 everything came to a near stand still. It took me about 1.5 hours to get to exit 12 in Jean.
I stopped here, well before my planned stop.
Lucky thing that I have enough time on this load.
I'll be driving at around 0300 to make my 1000 appointment in Fresno, CA. I'm just hoping that the road is clear by then.

I left Vegas with a trailer stack after about 5 days home, im currently shutdown outside Baker cause I got tired of playing the low range shuffle, and my dumb behind thought I'd just cut over from US95 and I'd miss a good chunk of the chaos. Boy was I ever wrong. I'll try to let traffic subside some and hit the road again. Supposed to pick my student back up in Barstow.
-
I'm finally shutdown in Barstow, you should be clear by now moose. The insanity is over.
-
Yes, there was little traffic that early.
-
And I'm in Fresno, CA today.
I pick up a load in the morning headed for Sparks, NV.
That stupid computer gave me a fuel route that takes me 50 miles off course to a TA on I-5. I'm going to ignore it and call for fuel at the TA on CA-99. With a fuel level of 3 I would think the computer could route me to the TA or Love's on 99, which are both well within range.
This truck stop is a low life dump, for the most part. I was here a couple years ago and it hasn't changed a bit. -
Are at the AMBest?
-
Hey Moose next time you get an IKEA load you can deliver it at my place. HA HA HA
-
No. I'm at the 5th Wheel.
I've never seen an AMBest that was this shoddy.
The rest rooms are on the side and require a key to get in, but at least there is a mirror.
The lot is full of huge and deep potholes. -
I'll expect some perks in return. -
I'm at the Golden Acorn Casino on I8. Got my student in Barstow, dropped my trailer stack in JV, picked up a lift gate load in Otay Mesa. Had to wait for it to get across the border. They offered us to exchange equipment for 25$. So we could just hook up and go, but the Mexican driver that brought our trailer across, used no edge protection on his straps, so instead of paying him to make his day easier, we told him to get his straps/chains off the trailer and placed our own.
Final destination Rome NY. Got a stop in IL and two in IN. Basically show up at buissness hours, more than enough time to make it. We can run this as fast or as slow as we want.
@moose, Stopped at that little slice of heaven in the spring hauling citrus. It's definately not on my top100.Moosetek13 Thanks this.
