Good to hear. I'm only familiar with a couple. Of the branches. It's very surprising to see how hit and miss it is with the comfort pro. So honestly my thoughts on that are, the compressor/ or board got messed up on install. Only reason to take that protective cover off the compressor that holds those wires pretty well. So any chance of rubbing had to of been because someone didn't put the pre installed zip ties back in the correct place. Any hoses loose hand tight usually won't hold freon. No freon, no pressure, no voltage sent from pressure safety switch unless by passed with jumper. Not saying your issues weren't real deal. I'm just saying I've seem some shady stuff before.

I just went in a couple days ago to get my 5th or 6th ccu board replaced. No one can figure out why the boards keep dying but they did replace the condenser fan this time to see if that was the reason because everytime the board goes out its the condenser fan that quits also.

@Kamkor that sucks about your heat. Hopefully you ain't in the area with negative wind chill factor. High heat on my Comfort Pro will keep the whole cab (sleeper curtains open) at around 80-85 degrees. With them closed and it will sweat me out of the sleeper. But then again, my APU has basically been rebuilt. Only thing original on it is the motor and generator.

    Yeah
    This.

It should kick it self off at temp. Then when out of range you'll hear that fan going again. FYI the high heat feature does kick out the GFI hotel plug (110v plug in mounted bottom bunk) but if you are not aware and need voltage to supply say, CPAP machines. The extension cord bundled up under bunk will still supply power. Up to 15amps. So you're looking at max 1800w. (Lil un realistic because you'd be bound to trip breaker) but that should be able to run an item or two while running high heat.

    MachoCyclone Thanks this.

I apologize for high jacking y'all's thread. Maybe I can start a new one or something. That way we can get these problems addressed. The comfort pro isn't a bad unit. Most issues I've seen with them are either install error, or misunderstood functions/ neglected services. Which not to be blaming anyone, but I've seen a few post leases not get worked on, then driver gets into his new truck only to be told everything has been serviced and up to date when in fact the Apu was neglected, low on oil, coolant, and needing new belts. (Also cleaning unit should be a priority.) So then the driver already has bad taste in mouth for the comfort pro. Then low and behold the day you are ready to roll out of the parking lot you find that the Apu isn't working. (if you was fortunate to have caught any issues before you was a couple hundred miles down the road) only to call me in to be rushed on the unit, because I was forced into critical time crunches by Jct staff. Then at the moment I may have fixed/ band aided the unit without given chance to properly fix the problem.

I was aware of high heat kicking out the 110, but that is fine by me. I cook in the truck (microwave, toaster oven, and portable cooktop) but I turn the HVAC completely off while cooking. And it handles those loads just fine.
