It's not a BAD truck with the 365 horse. You want something at least 425. There are a couple hills that will slow you down both speed and time. Try and shop around see if you cannot get at least that much or maybe a older non derated 500 detroit even...
Is it worth it to buy a old volvo 2005 to work local containers job 365hp ?

If it runs good and is dependable and you can get it cheep then you might not get there as fast as the others but will still make just as much money

Lot of hills out there ain't there? Been out there in some 450-500 horse trucks that didn't like it.

Can't be any worse than a Maxxforce over Monteagle though. That was a nightmare I hope to never live again.

I'd also be curious about the rail yards and ports that loaded him out at 137k. 57k lbs over gross.
Trains and ships charge by weight and volume. Everything gets weighed before being loaded on either.
As for 365 nor being enough... that's a bunch of horse poo. For two decades a 318 8v71 was considered a big horse. Before that a 238 was common. A 350 big cam was a fine #### strong engine as recently as the early 90s. Would we rather have more? Of course. But to suggest 365 can't do the job is pure ignorance.noluck, bzinger and Socal Xpress Thank this. -
Kinda makes ya wonder how some of us ran 48 states with a 300 Cummins or a 310 cat don't it ?noluck Thanks this.
