Are those the kind of chains that knock on the snow's door and talks about Jesus until the snow melts and dies of old age? Those are the best.

Or you could just find a descent truck stop, turn bunk heater on, grab a movie, and sleep on it after a dream or two...sorry I shouldn't tease but that's just me....be safe driver your worth more than that load...pinkhat n sweet here

Seriously. If you do not feel safe do not drive. No load is worth the death of a driver or someone in the general public. There are those of us who have experience in the snow and feel safe to drive in condition that would be unsafe for others. Know your limits and do not be pushed into doing something dangerous. The first rule is safety. The second rule is safety. And so on.

If the load was so important that it had to get through they would have sent it by dog sled.

We have three hazards on icy roads
    1. Four wheeler
    2. Crazy truck driver doing well over traffic speed.
    3. Scared to wet pants truck driver doing 15 - 25 mph on dry right lane when hammer lane is icy.

I've been waiting it out in Idaho. The wydot website still shows black ice on parts of I80. Safety told me to sit tight until morning. At least I got a 34 hour reset out of it.
