I was not referring to the drivers. I was talking about the folks working the cash registers and stocking the shelves.

Oh, I know, but I don't think either one of us has to worry about that, do we?
And don't believe all the hype about Walmart store employees making peanuts compared to other retailers. They're not actually that far off. I have family members that have and do work there, they get tired of hearing the same old story. Retail in general doesn't pay all that well.

True enough. I know not all are set at 10 at walmart but walmart themselves boasted starting out at 10.

If you're driving for Swift making peanuts pulling a Walmart trailer and they expect you to act as if you were a Walmart driver and making 82K per year I think it's a bit too much to expect. If you want quality driver that respects the rules of the road and is considerate to others then you better pay for a quality driver.

Anyone getting nuts in the tractor usually have the unit number, company name and tag, mc etc pulled off then called in.

That is much faster than internet.

One thing about working retail, you either LOVE it, or you HATE it. Most folks who are working retail just because it's the only thing they can find, hate it.
Retail is about as close you can get to driving truck as far as abuse of employees by companies is concerned. Particularly if you are in a lower management position.

Are some wm trucks governed at higher speeds than others? I had one keep up with me going 70 down 81 for quite sometime.

Key word there is "starting"...just like folks in this industry "start" at peanuts while they learn the ropes. If you've got experience, they'll "start" you higher...but if you're a 16 year old high school kid with no skills and no bills, $10/hr is pretty darn good. Then you work your way up from there.

Why were you playing with your camera while operating a commercial vehicle?

It was another "One Post Wonder." But I didn't see anything in that one post to indicate the poster was in a commercial vehicle.
