Any pictures? Never seen chains cause both tires to blow.

If you ever get into offroad hauling, you'll be chaining up several times a day in winter just as part of the job. I used to ride with the old man a lot growing up. Throwing on a set or 2 of triples 2 or 3 times a day in winter was just business as usual.

Legally it doesn't matter at all what the other driver did. If authorities wasn't notified no matter how long someone is there it is considered leaving the scene of an accident.

The glass is half full then....you thought you had 3 service failures initially, but it looks like you have none!

Cheer up and embrace the suck. Just keep smokes, saltines, a blanket and matches with you at all times.

    Lepton1 and RedRover Thank this.

Lol. I'm kinda proud of this guy. He went from looking to get his CDL with a record and looking at having to work for carolina cargo, to running through snowy mountain passes with swift. Its been a helluva journey for him so far!

That's what he meant- he managed to AVOID having to go to Carolina cargo by getting hired at swift. It was worded a little weird

Yep. Just swift it looks like. I wonder how his story with getting hired on with swift went.

In certain situations with the automated transmission, you should select Manual mode-- especially in snow/icy and dowhill conditions. I have seen mine going in Ecoast and gain 10 miles per hour over the IPM (computer controlled speed limiter) going borderline runaway down a hill. AFter that I put it in Manual. I find myself putting it in Manual mode way too much in fact.

Just today I set the speed to 68 and passed a mega company driver. Next thing I know the guy is gaining on me .I look down and the stupid thing is in Ecoast again going 58 miles per hour. Push on the go pedal and it gets
back up to speed. Next downill I see we are going 73 miles an hour when the IPM is supposed to limit it to 70 even.

But yeah, my left foot is well rested (shake my head) but I have so much more work to do to control the speed and rpms all the time.

Lepton1, fargonaz and RedRover Thank this.
