Don't get me wrong I'm not mad, my miles are good I was just saying it's starting to get annoying is all. Do you always call the dispatcher for your delivery area before you deliver to see what loads you might be able to get?

When contacting dispatch ahead of time, I try to include an estimate on what my hours situation will most likely look like after I deliver. That goes for total hours and my 14 hour clock. Also if you know a good reload regularly picks up near by, feel free to ask if it might be available.

As soon as you get a load, start working on the next one.
But, if the shippers ain't shipping and the receivers ain't receiving, there's not much dispatch can do about it.
