Watching these trucks at the Sam's club side of the WCC definitely shows you who the rookies are.

There was a Stevens Transport rookie having a hell of a time trying to back into the dock. You would think that his fellow company driver in the next dock would help since he was watching, but nope. He just sat there recording it. So, I helped him out to speed things along and to make sure he didn't slam into my truck.

How many miles should I expect to get out of my michellin steers. I'm at about 175 now. They are wearing unevenly.

I ran about 280 before I had to change mine but I hit something and gashed the sidewall.

How bad is the uneven wear? I think more 4/32 difference is out of spec and they need to be changed.

I was unloaded in an hour. Now parked at the Rialto truck stop.

Went into a Walmart DC at night recently, saw there was one available dock. Off to the right was a Stevens driver waving his arms up and down. I parked out of the way and went to talk to him. He was next for that dock but I couldn't figure out why he was so far away. Then he tried to back up I knew why. He just didn't even know....anything. Turns out it was his first solo load off the trainer's truck. Helped guide him best I could but he was still all fouled up. Finally he asked me to dock it for him. I got it lined up, all he had to do was straight line back it the final 60 feet or so.

I was at a little 2 dock place up in middle of winter and I and a transam guy were delivering on the same day. He has first dock so I was waiting when he started trying to blindside. After his 3 attempts I knocked on his door. I asked if he needed help. He said it was his first solo. I asked him why he was doing it the hard way. I explained how to turn around and get it the right way. I spent about 45 minutes explaining how to do it and he was very appreciative. Then of course I spent another 20 mins fighting my trailer brakes that froze up lol.

I hate when brakes freeze up. Luckily in my career I've only had to beat on them with a rubber mallet twice. The vast majority I've been able to rock the trailer till they release.
