Hate to say it, but every person that runs up under an ICC bumper and offs themselves is another person off the road that should not have been on it to begin with. We drive in the travel lanes, not the emergency lane. If people can't do that, how are they getting their license in the first place? Something is wrong with that system.

A bit of advice from what I have seen in the state of Virginia. The state police are cracking down on parking on ramps. In the past few nights, I have seen troopers working the New Market, Va rest area because trucks are parking on the ramps and lined up along the Interstate. Just this morning @ 195 mm north bound, the get off for the Lee Hi truck stop, The man was out there with his blue light flashing and writing tickets. I would dare say that there were at least 10 trucks on the get off ramp.

To get a ticket for parking on a ramp or a shoulder of an Interstate here in Va. not only carries a pretty hefty fine but also points against your license. And don't get caught taking a "leak" along the Interstate, they will nail your rear.

Both Virginia and North Carolina have been cracking down on drivers parking on the on/off ramps in rest areas and highways.

lol I've been saying that since long before I started driving trucks!!! My area gets a lot of tourists from there, renting jet skis and running around like idiots. Basically the equivalent of FIBS going up into Wisconsin. I already had one Prius driving idiot with jersey plates (those ##### things are worse than Ford Explorers!!!) almost run into me when I was out riding a couple years ago.

Seeing as I don't drive there anymore, I'll spill the beans! I195 to I295 north. Loops around Trenton and turns into I95 south. I287 from Edison to Mahwah. That runs into New York.

    F that state!

It's a term people in Wisconsin use as a slur for tourists from Chicago.
