Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on which companies to go for in your first year of driving?
Suggested companies for new drivers.

May want to put your location, and what you are interested in, reefer, flatbed, tanker, and if you have your CDL already or need a company that offers training.
-
I will have my CDL after school. Im taking a course with TTCC and am looking to move away from Ontario. Just not enjoying it that much. So anywhere else in Canada if you know of a good company that'd be awesome if you have a suggestion. Im actually open to most possibilities of vehicles. Even thinking of getting my ACZ.

Maverick was my first company. I don't think I could have beat Maverick as a starter company. Check them out.
JJRigger Thanks this. -
I averaged about 2200 miles per week at Maverick and paychecks usually ran about 800.00 net. Decent benefits and home most weekends.

Thanks Mark its appreciated

What part of the country would you rather end up in and what kind of trailer would you like to see in your mirrors?
-
I'd say more of the west coast. Did some schooling out there in my twenties and i loved it. As it stands right now I'm not quite sure what trailer i'd like to see.

If you're training with Transport Training Center of Canada don't go west beyond Calgary because you will likely die in the Rockies because in reality they didn't teach you anything about trucking except a good pre trip and how to shift gears double clutching.
ripmagoo68, Dye Guardian, BigHossVolvo and 2 others Thank this.
