Dayton Freight doesn't have them.
(Yet) -
None in UPS or any union freight companies I know of.
bbechtel16 and X-Country Thank this. -
Of course not. You know union guys won't tolerate that.
Evilrock, bbechtel16, Toomanybikes and 2 others Thank this. -
Nope, no cameras at OD forward or driver. No plans for them either that I've heard about, but no doubt the corporate suits have at least considered the pro's and cons. They say no personal dash cams, but it's not enforced as far as I've seen.
The trucks do have lane departure warning to annoy drivers in construction zones and rain, but no OnGuard. Everything is subject to change, of course, but I get the impression that since they expect us to behave and work as professionals they treat us as such in return. -
Do you know what their thinking is about no personal dash cams?

No concrete evidence when determining fault if there is an incident. Easier to fight it out in (or settle out of) court. Of course you lose proof of innocence too, so it's a double edged sword.
Big Don Thanks this.
