Don't demand 40 hours a week. The nature of this beast, you going to put in time.
I'm local in Phoenix and average 65 a week.

This week I'm at almost 42 hours in 3 days. Lol

    TequilaSunrise and G13Tomcat Thank this.

I'm not saying that I don't want to work more, I'll gladly take all hours that I can, just after 40 it's got to be paid time and a half, that's what I'm looking for

Sitting in a bar in Colorado Springs and got to talking to a guy who ran a local delivery operation in Denver. Said he couldn't hire anyone since the legalization of marijuana...no one could pass the drug screen. Offered me $42 an hour to come to work for him. Tempting, but I make good money doing what I do and wasn't to keen on moving out that far. Can't remember the exact name of the company, but it was something like Final Yard or something like that. Yellow pages may help you figure it out.

The company I work for bread & butter is Phoenix to Denver.
    Still got your truck?
You probably clear $2500 to $2800 week before taxes.
    2 trips.
All drop & hook in Phoenix.

    2 ROUND TRIPS

Clear at what mpg, and what are your maintenance cost including tires and oil changes, also subtract depreciation on the truck. Running company driver for a medium size company from Chicago I can make $0.5 a mile, and get easy 4k a week that's is better then what you get on your own truck

I'll look for them, I'll gladly take $42 an hour, if they can offer at least 50hours minimum, and I don't have any problems taking drug test at any time

I've just relocated away from Denver to Iowa, running for Foodliner out of Blair, Nebraska. Too many potheads and Californians in Colorado these days, it finally got to me and I've gotten out.

@superTrucker77 I was a flatbedder before I started this tanker job, so I'm not sure about local van or reefer out of the Denver area, but I know there must be quite a few. I used to see Praxair and Air Liquide trucks running up and down I-25 all the time too. XPO/Conway in Commerce City hires sometimes, and pays good, though I've heard there are a lot of big-time truck rodeo ######## there. Iowa Tank Lines is a very good company, hauls hazmat, local terminal, not sure how often you'd get home though.

Also, I think Hill Bros. might have some dedicated Denver - Omaha runs. They were advertising along I-80 earlier this spring.

I have more ideas if you're interested in flatbed, but I know that's not for everyone.
