They do put me on hold too, once in a while, but my patience allows only 3 minutes.
The most important thing about this broker is that they will work with a new MC#. They are no payment risk, sends a check about 2-3 weeks after your invoice, which helps to manage cash flow. They try to be cheap every time I call them, they won't raise the rate by more than $50-100 most of the time, but at least, if there is a mismatch they will take your offer and once in a while call you back accepting it. I like them for being consistently professional, like Capital One customer service, no anger or spite.....I book less and less with them but in my first 3 months it was 50% of all freight I booked.
CHR would be hard to get rich by but for a new independent this is an excellent broker to start hauling without a worry of not being paid.
For comparison, I never booked anything from TQL, just the way they speak to you, thinking that you're an ####### knowing nothing and trying to give you Jacksonville, FL form Dallas, TX for $1200. Insulting.

Why even bother with check calls? If they need to find out where the load is, they will call you.
Dave_in_AZ and nikmirbre Thank this. -
I am on my 2nd CH load in a row. Got to my receiver this a.m. and I didn't even hear the techno-operator tell me that all load associates were busy and to have my paperwork ready...it rang, a person answered and checked me in...total call time 1 min 12 sec...my lucky day...now I'm going to play the lottery before my luck changes.
whoopNride and 4mer trucker Thank this. -
The app you need is called Navisphere.
-
They discontinued the old app on Jan 1st. I miss it for the fact I could post my truck daily out of the home 20 for the next 6 months if I wanted to and it only took a couple of minutes to do. The new navisphere app is not as good in that regard you'd spend half a day doing that.
-
I deal with two different branches and am on a first name basis with them. Any branch can book any load in their system so rather than call the branch posting the load I call my local branch and give them the load number. I also call them to search for me because they have access to loads I can't see on the board.

TQL has a "Big Brother " app you can install to your phone, so they can track you, and that does away with the 57 daily phone calls.
Guy I worked for had a high value customer that required it as a condition of pulling. And it was very high sought after theft commodity.
So I installed theirs, but declined TQL. Surprised they all don't do it, cause in a few years, the phone will also drive and load/unload the truck. -
CH also uses Macropoint if you dont like the phone calls.

First I want to say sorry. This company is nasty. I used to work there and the stuff they do in their offices is plain evil. A lot of out of shape people just goofing around. Because I was a trucker driver before working in CHR, I was disgusted with what I saw.Midnightrider909 Thanks this. -
Sounds like some high tech thingeemabob.FlatbedJ0e Thanks this.
