It cost me $240 for new windshield couple months ago.
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
#####, so you just got a "chip" in the new one? Maybe you can get it fixed under warranty from the installer, for substandard glass. Just a thought.
-
Lol, substandard glass...you should've seen that rock dump truck threw up in the air.
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
Wife had that happen to her van, it went from a chip to a spider in 3 days.... in the winter, the hot and cold... 300 bucks later. Safelite. LoL.
-
Did you get his info, to see if the company would pay for it? I asked wife the same thing, but of course, she did not. In your case, would've come in handy...!
-
He would just deny it. And of course wouldn't you as well, if some guy wanted you to pay for his windshield.
it also happened in Canada and I was in tight delivery appt.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
Wow... sorry, man.... that explains it. Especially away from home... yeah.
As to would I deny it? ..... Well, no, I couldn't. I had a hardened piece of asphalt fly off my hose rack because we "swap" trailers with Shelly Co.. and it was one of theirs.... somebody didn't have a bucket. I should've pretripped for the slop.... Kinda thought I did, but.....not really.
My boss and Shelly Co. split the cost; it was a $350.00 bill; the chunk of "street" hit a Plumber's truck. Didn't shatter, but sure was gonna spider.
He was understanding, as a "business man" himself... could've been worse. I feel ya, man.
