When I started they took the card I had, even though it was only a 3 month card with a month left on it. Basically it's up to the driver to kept his or her medical card current.

I believe it is $2500 a mo for 25 months on a 14 cascadia. That is title in your hand after 25 months, no additional balloon payment. 85% line-haul, you do have to pay rent on the trailer, I think it's 300 a week. For a lease purchase, it's a good one.

I'm not sure how it works... I seen an announcement on Facebook, But I hadn't paid much attention to it. Its been a couple of months at least since I've had this thing in the yard, unfortunately the dealership didn't fix a thing and I've been requesting dispatch to get me through the yard,, especially it's been well past my anniversary and I hadn't really heard much what happens with pay, what bennies will become available and this truck has been in need of repair, despite telling dispatch repeatedly I need to get this truck through the shop. Finally I got a load going through there... while it's closed. It's nice my miles picked up but it won't help if whatever is causing this "check engine" light grows into a serious engine problem.

Got all the way up to page 50. Thought I may have found a home. Jumped up to April of this year and found driver facing cameras - deal breaker.

If I can start the lp upon hiring, and the camera doesn't come with me, we're golden. Otherwise...

I've had it in mine and as much as I hate it, I haven't been called yet on anything, and I've saw it throw the red light plenty of times.....the only I've had the camera discussed in the office since getting it in here was to sign some sort of policy sheet..,legal stuff basically. The funny part was a rule forbidding drivers from deleting anything recorded from the camera... pretty much a moot point since there's no way for us drivers to access anything from it. I voiced my concerns over these driver cams when they first put them in along with the abuses my last company was doing with them.

I talked to a couple of guys that are on l/p and I guess they like it. From what I've seen they got one of the older freight liners and they had really low payments on them. My self I really don't have any plans for owner-operator stuff.

Driver facing camera....a VERY hot topic on this site. It seems to be the wave of the future just like like the EOBR and ELD, which the feds are now mandating along with governed trucks if things keep going the way they are. The future freedoms look very bleak for those who own or lease trucks when they are required to have cameras poining at them while driving and risk having themselves implicated for risky driving habits because they were smoking, sipping coffee, adjusting the radio dial or sneezing and reaching for a handkerchief when that 4 wheeler runs up under the tandems. Scary thought...

I have had one for almost a year now. Forgot it was there almost a year ago. Has zero impact on me or my driving. They are not live but record onto an SD disc inside the unit. Only had it removed once and that was during my trucks annual DOT inspection. Maye my company is just better in this regard than others.

A lot of it is from the "ambulance chaser" lawyers, and the idiots who cause accidents but spinelessly blame it on the trucker. When I'm at home and watching tv now and then it's now common to have EVERY commercial break filled with ads from them offering big money awards in court cases against trucking companies and drivers. In my opninion they are worse than the DOT. And it's true that the slightest wrong word, phrase or sniff can hang you in court if the lawyer uses it against you. The good part of the camera I would say is if the other guy is at fault you will have concrete evidence to exonerate you. On the other hand, if you're going down the road with the phone in one hand, big quadruple heart attack baconator burger in the other hand while steering with your feet and you hit something or someone swerves into you, and that camera catches that? Guess who's gonna look bad. I'd say from my experience with it so far and the increasing idiocy out here on the road it's become necessary evil. Luckily Gpt has been keeping their word about it so far. I guess time will tell...
