I like the idea of an app, it would especially be helpful to the drivers new to the company. One suggestion I would suggest would list washouts close by for the customers that require it (maybe in a later version).

 

Well I deliver in College Park at Preferred then headed to TN then off to the Twin cities....then probably off to GA next week.

Most of what you want you can do with an xcel spreadsheet, zata. Turn it into a csv file and you can just load it into the gps.

A private forum would be nice too. Brought it up with dispatch before, but it never seems to go anywhere.

Maybe we all should just bug the new efficiency expert.

 

Does anyone know the number to Tracey in payroll? The I have doesn't seem to work.

 

Call the general number and ask Rene to transfer you...she's cool with doing that.

 

The excel doesn't really help everyone though. I guess it could be passed around, but that takes a little expertise and even I don't really like the idea of messing with my gps. Everyone understands apps and they're simple lol. Besides, I don't even wanna think about the madness behind converging all our collective info into a single excel sheet! Lol

A private forum is very easy and inexpensive for me to setup. But I think having this forum here is better for everyone: it's easy to find and a good recruiting tool (which benefits all of us). I wouldn't want to draw everyone away from here. Tony has setup a Facebook group in the past few weeks that he has to approve members into. That's a good private place for us to chat.

I'm not trying to knock all your ideas, just throwing my opinions out there.

 

Hey one item to keep in mind, how will you keep the app updated? Are you volunteering to be admin? We could do a poll of how many drivers would be ok with say paying for the app to help defer costs.

 

Zata40, there's another Magnum Ltd FB page that doesn't have any management on that a few drivers use.
