Beam Brothers Bankruptcy

Most of the mail haulers Ive seen drive like nut cases anyway. This doesn't really surprise me.

 

I don't get the corrallation.

 

The correlation is that when you drive like you are bonkers 1) you will accumulate a lot of CSA points and 2) if you have to drive that way it is likely because your company is pushing you to. You know like assigning loads that cant be done legally and tossing you a ream of loose leaf logs.

 

The sad part is some companies don't learn... if a wreck or dot inspection occurs, the company in question will basically swear up & down they don't allow illegal running and throw the driver under the bus. As much as e-logs are unpopular, ever since I have started running with them it's given me a bit of leverage when arguing with dispatchers, and every single inspection I'd been through the trooper either just wanted to see if I still had hours left or didn't bother. And also lot of companies voluntarily switched to them because of liability. One company I used to be with switched to them years ago and saw their CSA scores for HOS drop like a rock.
