My Man,that is just great.
Yours is THE uniform that says PROFESSIONAL !
Thank you for your professional approach / appearance.
This is how I roll also.
If more folks followed this example ,instead of appearing to have just crawled from the bunk ,
maybe then we could enjoy a bit more respect all around.
Thanx supersnackbar.Lonesome and supersnackbar Thank this. -
I swear, Big G's night dispatch must be former Raven dispatchers. I get a call 1.5 hrs after my 14 saying that another driver will run out of hours before he can deliver and needs to swap...their words "he will come to you"...load needs to be in Richmond at 0900. Me "sure, whatever, when will he be here?"..."he is 3 hours out"...so I wait. 4.5 hours later, "where is this guy, I need to get to bed"..."he ran out of hours an hour away, we didn't want to bother you on a break"...WTF?...they already bothered me on a break to ask...now I haven't slept, and they want me to go to him when my break it done....I said reschedule it, I'm going to bed. From now on, I am putting my phone on "Do Not Disturb" mode when I go on my 10.

That happened to me once and i learned to tell them to have the driver wake me up if he gets there . Doesn't happen often.mitrucker Thanks this.

You said exactly what I was thinking.

What I am about to say may be disturbing to some viewers...adult discretion is advised.
For me, sleep (unless it's a 30 minute power nap) is like an orgasm..as in, once it starts, there is no stopping in the middle. If I lay down to sleep, anything over 30-45 minutes, and that's it for my sleep cycle...if I slept 2 hours and the driver showed up, then I would be up the rest of the night.
My driver supe took care of me...said he read the messages and notes and doesn't know what the problem was...and paid me for my time.
Now, I delivered my original load in PA today, but no empties. So they bobtailed me from Hazleton to Tobyhanna for an empty, then are deadheading me from Tobyhanna to Zanesville, OH for a load of bottles going to JD...but dropping in Deason. Almost as many deadhead miles as loaded. -
They miles all pay the same don't they?
Sleep is like an orgasm???? Well at least I get sleep........
tow614 Thanks this. -
Happens sometimes...not often.. but they will not let you sit unless absolutely necessary and then pay you well for it. A friend of mine was paid $300 for sitting from Friday evening to Sunday evening one time.

You know I see a name change coming on...
From supersnackbar to orgasmic sleeper...BoostedTeg, 4mer trucker and mitrucker Thank this. -
Yea, but now that I am part of the ESOP ownership...deadhead miles are costly to me as well(unless the shipper compensates for all miles). I actually use to hate deadhead miles when I owned my own truck paid on percentage.
And the reason I watch my idle time...this weeks MPG/Idle stats...company avg 7.16 mpg, 5.26% idle...snackbar's truck 7.49 mpg, 1.1% idle...
