Dang. You drive for a mega that people hate? I haven't had any of that fortunately. At least they didn't put DEF in the fuel, cause you can kiss the engine goodbye then.
I try to be helpful to people down on their luck. You get a feeling of who is who. Who want money so they can get a dime of heroin, or somebody that you genuinely give some kindness to with a few pieces of fried chicken & a bottle of water, and, or a shower.
It will come back to you, and pay BIG dividends some day.

When I worked in construction many times people would be sleeping inside the pipe pilings or the dumpster or the porta potties.
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
Unfortunately that's what it's coming down to. Anyplace warm or out of the elements would work. A lot of towns and cities in the Northeast are kicking homeless people out of their areas so where else are they going to go? Not many homeless shelters in the region and even then there's a high risk of getting assaulted there.

Jobs are scarce, drug use is rampant. What's the first thing companies do after they take your application? Drug test.
We're going to have a generation of unemployables here. Even if a company is desperate for help, HR and insurance people would crucify a company that knowingly hired a drug user.
"Sorry about that injury to your baby ma'am, the other 5000 strollers Cheech screwed together held up, just unlucky I guess."
Said no attorney ever.
(Also much love to Mr. Martin, I just couldn't think of any other famous stoners)mjd4277 Thanks this. -
Saw this situation come to a head a year ago at the T/A in Jessup,Maryland. Went there to get a clearance light replaced on the trailer. Had to wait until next morning for them to get to it(there was no where else closer and I was out of hours anyway) because they were short handed. The next day the shop manager explained he had SIX PEOPLE apply for jobs there and ALL OF THEM couldn't pass a drug test!passingthru69 Thanks this.
