I believe this is a recent thread on the place. There are much better schools in the area, and most have offered a 25-30 hour course for a few years.
Took classes at Trucking School in Sylmar Ca fail the test three times1029384746 Thanks this. -

I'm assuming Alliance is gonna shut down.. Do you have any other suggestions ? Thanks Feds say trucking company bilked VA of $4M
UsualSuspect Thanks this. -
I saw one of their trucks on the road a few days ago on the 118, so they are still running. The Fed's are not known for doing anything rapidly, and it usually takes a few years to bring anyone to trial. White collar non-mafia crimes generally means they just want their money back, and they won't let them get any Fed funds for a few years. I wonder why they did not go after the Vets who were paid? I am wondering how the Vet's received their CDL since they have to use a State DMV Office for the skills test? Maybe they did not get their CDL's?1029384746 Thanks this.

30 hrs. isn't much. KKW Trucking probably hires from there also. Can go there with no school at all as long as you have a CDL.
For $1500.00 can get the full 160 hr. school at Khan D' Kulia Trucking School in Los Angeles.1029384746 Thanks this. -
If you are up for a drive, Oxnard, CA has CET. They do offer FAFSA so it might be a more expensive option. As far as school's in Sylmar go, it's not looking too good. I'd stay away from Alliance, if the owner is capable of that, it speaks volumes to the integrity of the school. Furthermore, the Feds might take a while, but I am sure the state will take action pretty quick...don't wanna get trapped in that if the school shuts down. One of my trainee's was attending a school in Long Beach (Professional Trucking School), paid $1,500 and 2 weeks later the school shut down...owner said to call the state to collect his money through some fund. He ended up under contract here because he couldn't afford to pay another school.

I have a feeling the owner at Alliance will walk. The Fed Review stated they arrested the business partner at his house, and he is still in custody. The President/Owner was asked to appear in court days later, showed up, and was released on his signature with a promise to appear at a later date to be set by the court. There must be more to the story when 1 is arrested and held, and the other is asked to come in a few days later. I wish they would post the complaint, but it is a Federal Grand Jury Indictment, so we won't see it. Prosecutors use Grand Juries for weak cases they know a Magistrate won't sign off on for probable cause, as as the old saying goes, "Prosecutors are well aware they can indict a ham sandwich with the right Grand Jury".

I'm planning on visiting "Dolphin School of trucking " in Commerce soon to check out their training trucks. They have some decent reviews online. We'll see

I can't believe I remember this video, maybe because they used cabovers in the yard to learn on. It is a no nonsense place. The guy who shot this used to live in either the Valley or Santa Clarita. He now drives a car hauler.
