What truckstop did they get stolen at?

 

Some pud needed a rear red marker light more than I did once.

When i was a kid i went with my dad to deliver a loaf for my uncle(his truck went down under a load) at hunts point. We stopped in jersey to grab food and a shower after unloading(by hand of course) and when we came out the shifter was on the floor. Someone had stolen the transmission in the hour or so we was inside.

 

How the heck? Transmissions are heavy.......

Good thieves are prepared. Worst part about it, they cut the driveshaft clutch linkage and shifter. Just unbolted the bell housing and cut everything else with a torch.

 

When I was in heavy highway construction years ago.....we had a backhoe stolen off the job site. The police found the backhoe in a field next to a dozer. They used the backhoe to steal the engine out of the dozer.

 

We werent limited to 500 miles for a very long time on the old board
