But it's not annoying to know the paperwork was received.

It was said agents had access and coordinators could access remotely, but you say it was impossible.

A host computer can't "lose internet", and still be accessed from outside via internet, unless you are in wireless range, or are wired directly to it. I could draw a picture for you if you need!!

I get 3 notifications after every trip....its annoying. I get a paperwork received message, a paperwork processed message, and a settlement. I was happy when it was just a settlement. If I don't get the settlement within 2-3 hours, I'm calling to find out if I need to resend the paperwork anyway. The first two messages are unnecessary to me.

Omg, seriously? you guys need to quit arguing over phrasing. You know #### well what was meant, that's more annoying than "paperwork received"

Well phrasing is kinda important when the reason for not having access to the load board majority of the day, is said to be "loss of internet"! Does it change the fact that it happened, no.

A 2000 plus truck company shouldn't be having these issues with their "Network"! Some of us rely on the load board to keep moving, so yeah I get a little annoyed at not having access to it. Sending people home to work did absolutely nothing for people on the 30 board or van version of the 30 board. No access to loads, no money, simple as that!

If you're not making money then neither is Mercer, I'd say they are just as annoyed as you. Also, if Amazon, Netflix, Google, etc can have major network interruptions that affect millions, then I would say that it is quite plausible that a "2000 plus trucking company" could experience issues also.

Of course I'm not even at Mercer yet, so I could be wrong. Maybe they really are trying to deprive the contractors of loads. /s

I think you have the market cornered on smart butt comments. I gave simply the basic version of what I was texted. They had a hardware problem which caused access issues in Louisville. I wasn't intending to give a PhD dissertation on computers and internet access. Just making the point drivers could still communicate with agents and ordinators in some manner. I made the observation the same things happens in bad weather, but some probably never realize it. It seems to affect some people more than others . But some seem to get upset than even a minor clarification is pointed out. I simply thought it was a good thing my coordinator gave me a early heads up, and also a couple of high ups posted on some Facebook pages also. But I guess , a technically perfect explanation must be in order, instead of a simple basic one.
