You can save a small fortune by eliminating the "gas" you won't be using any. ☺
But seriously will you still be going forward with this venture with insurance premiums like that? You could hire a driver with a better record and save a fortune. But your health insurance premiums were reasonable , who is that through?

You need to call Progressive and talk to them about why they gave you a "Oh, HECK NO" quote. I got a quote on a NEW driver from them five months ago, and it was under 12 K.

There's something they looked at they don't like. Better figure out what it is. Is your credit lousy? Criminal record? Fraud convictions?

Wow I pay 750 a month, with 250 cargo. Of course I've been at it for 10 years with no claims. So it get better.

Those are great questions i will need to look into. Its good to know how lousy my quote is in comparison to so many of yours who have similar experience. Another gentleman mentioned a couple other companies to go get quoted from and I will try them and I will post my findings on this thread so stay tuned

Let me ask you guys this question who are you using to find loads. And what are you averaging per mile. Also can one of you post a similar expense report like I did.

With cargo liability physical you should be paying max 12-14 with a clean record 15-18 with dirt on it. 5k is insane. Did you go through a insurance broker? If so then you're probably paying 1500 for insurance and rest brokers bills lol.

Hey brotha, I'm really hoping you get those rates down, that ish is crazy. You'd probably do better leasing onto a company with those rates.

Anyway what kind of freight are you pulling? Are you using all of your family's contracts or will be doing your own thing. $2.00+ a mile is awesome for a first year out. Mind if I PM you and ask you some questions?
