One thing I learned from Speech class, don't just watch the videos, actually practice saying the items out loud. Break everything you are going to say into chunks. Don't learn one long Pret-Trip. Learn the in-cab section, the light check section, the driver-side external section, etc.
On test day, if the examiner says he wants you to say some particular thing, say it the way you practiced and ADD what the examiner wants to hear. If you are in IL, just go ahead and schedule your 2nd pre-trip exam.
