Just wanted to say as far as getting info on how the company runs, you guys have said alot! Both good and bad...which is a good thing. Talked with IDC managers and recruiter about Heartland's deal (running system/48 states) but there's no guarantee of where I'd be running and possibly stuck. I've got a strong suspicion living in TN I'd get alot of east and NE. Tony posted a snapshot of where trucks were located on his FB page and, as the saying goes, a picture says a thousand words. Since I've gotten to dislike SW and NE, I'm really happy about where the trucks were! This is trucking...and refrigerated at that. So I know what I'm getting into there. And if the people running things are as cool as things seem, looks like a great place to end up. Thanks for sharing your experiences here. Takes the fog out of making a decision to and where to move. At IDC, everyone's in a fog cuz they don't know what they don't know. I don't like uncertainty when it comes to operations and acquisitions. Ok, enough of my book. sitting at TA North Canton, Oh #95 (w/ trainer) for a not needed 34 waiting on a load PU Monday morning.. We have been in Columbus since 0430 Saturday. I will get some required practice backing here at the truck stop today.. no complaints here!

 

Yes! Take advantage of that reset time!! When you see some of the docks trucks gotta get into, you'll be happy you did! Not to mention some of the "roads" to get to the docks! Hopefully you'll get out west and get some mountain driving in. This is the best time of year for that...winter is not a good time to learn the roads out there! Have fun and be safe!!

 

I pick up in Des Plaines tomorrow. I will be more than happy if you would come over there and do some backing practice on my behalf.

 

En route to Hotlanta, stopped in at S. Beloit for some coffee. Two other Magnuminions getting fuel and a 3rd followed me in. Getting a little ridiculous 'round here.

lol!!! now that is SMART trucking, getting fuel in IL before going north. I'm always amazed at how many drivers wont fuel in Illinois. There's a reason the smart ones do it and you guys have figured it out. Let me guess...you also avoid IN/MI/KY/GA.
