Does it often happen to any of you when you commit to a load that they call saying the customer didn't agree on the rate listed and cancelled the load? They didn't wanna pay that much ( Which wasn't anything special btw )...

Or now today I book load and they call saying the customer sent over a "counter" rate, that they wanted it shipped for less... It was only $70 less which I can live with but just kind of stumped that this has happened in back to back days...

Am I that lucky? I buy lottery tickets and I'm still driving a truck...........................

 

this happens a lot.. other companys are under cutting our rates or they shipper think's its a gamble..

I've had 5 loads that were booked cancel in the last 2 to 3 weeks.

 

That's frustrating, it's been awhile, but I had 3 cancel on me in one day awhile back. The first one wasn't ready yet, cancelled as i got there. The other two were for a job site, identical loads, cancelled once I was loaded with paperwork in hand on the first of the two, customer was denied the permits for the job.

 

I understand it happens. Between the shippers not being ready with the product and customers schedules changes.
It just made a tough month out of it.
