I recently went for a clerk's position which is part time with on elf the major freight companies. I do not want to name them but I was wondering if this position would be a good way to get my foot in the door? I am due to take my cdl test in 2-3 weeks (school was closed for vacation) and next year then I would do team driving with my husband. Right now I am waiting a year because we still have a kid in high school.
In the interview today, the gal did ask if I wanted to be a driver, and I explained our situation. She gave me the impression that it would not be a problem at all to move around and they are desperate for cdl drivers at the moment.

You don't need a foot in the door for a cdl job. A clean driving record is far more important

If your looking to pay the bills while you wait , and you want to later drive for them, yeah, do whatever you need to do ....don't need us to tell you that .......take care of yourself , do what you think is right , and get on with it.

    doireann Thanks this.
