Az always says they're looking for supporting documents and they don't give you the option of refusal
The thing Is, there is a new law coming in that makes it mandatory to show receipts for things purchased on duty.
I don't believe it has been enacted yet.
Az is using the supporting documents thing to do searches.
I know a guy who got searched in az and the dot harrassed him for not having food receipts
Who buys food or meals on duty?
Smh -
They love to sit just west of Yuma
They pull one over at random and take him to the fly J where they search the truck
The big scale in Douglas will search you too for no reason.
Best keep a clean truck through AZ -
Pay cash for food, they will never know .........
Lepton1 and Rusty Trawler Thank this. -
The new law says you have to have receipts for anything bought on duty.
The guy I know who got searched said the officer harrassed him for not having food receipts
That's ridiculous
It was just an excuse to search the truck
Cop didn't care about receiptsNavigatorWife Thanks this. -

Wait, what? Yea right! I hate to use the term, but I'm going to need a cite for the law to even think you are not high, much less simply wrong.Last edited: Aug 4, 2017

That's just gonna tie up trucks in the fuel island even longer as drivers fuel then walk in to stand in line to get their fuel receipt.Rusty Trawler Thanks this.

Well, he didn't write me off for this since it was all good, but oh, well... since I was pulled over he did the inspection anyway. He just used it as a pretext for pulling me over and than played an idiot, that he saw it I guess.NavigatorWife and Rusty Trawler Thank this.

It's true
Very soon we are going to have to have fuel receipts as supporting documents
Might as well start practicing
