I personally think they pay good considering how easy it is to get loaded and secured... in and out quickly...

that's the reason for me.. Who wants to load 45,000lbs for 1.80 lol.. Im loading out of the same area about 20 miles from MS area pulling 45,000 at 2.45 a mile. Heavy Weight comes less MPG = more cost for me.

Running 70 mph everywhere doesn't have anything to do with poor mpg huh? Lol.

    Just messing with you.

I'd pull the 40k load. I consider the weight of a load but it very rarely is the deciding factor of whether I take a load or not.

6.8, that's about what mine would avg if I drove that fast. This past week my avg is over 9 mpg but I slowed down to 60 since I had a little extra time on my load. It also helps that my last load & the one in under are both less than 10k. It would be close to 10 but the first load I pulled was 46k from New York to GA.I hope your mechanic gets it figured out.

Oh wow, I've only been there 2 times now and never seen anyone tarp... Although in the load notes it says tarping maybe required 12-1 or something like that... Maybe just in the winter?
