Why do you flash me when I'm 2 feet in front of you?

    I've solved this problem.

I bought a big nasty mean looking Petercar, and my attitude has completely changed.

Heck, I've driven 14 years now - have a big hood, so I figure I pretty much know it all now.

So - every truck I pass (and believe me, I pass EVERYTHING, it a large car thing), I pre-empt the impending blinding the rookie will lay upon me, by doing the following -

    • Slow as I approach level with the driver door, look menacing, and have my Rottweiler slobber and bark all over the small portion of passenger window not covered with chrome stuff.
    • Veer sharply right, whilst flipping the driver the bird.
    • Re correct, laugh maniacally, and then mash on it until I'm just past his front bumper, whip it into the granny, slam on the anchors, then speed off into the distance.
So far, they're too shaken up to bother with the headlights thing.

But boy, these dangerous driving tickets are mounting up. Not sure I can keep this up much longer.

    And
    ###### if you do,
    ###### if you don't!

If they didn't there would be a thread titled; "what happened to common courtesy?"

Be Happy very few folks do this still- (Assuming they are flashing you by interrupting the headlights,NOT THE BRIGHTS)...

You Don't Have to get over right away- Its just a courtesy That's All- Now, I'm hoping you return the favor by interrupting your taillights. AND YOUR CB RADIO IS ON!!!!!!!!!!!!

This happens to me all night long. Since I am such a nice person. After they have completed their pass with their high beams on, making sure I can see them. I promptly turn mine on so I can make sure they can see me and that they are aware I am now behind them. It's only common courtesy right? Returning the favor.

I just do it to stir up some conversation; it usually doesn't work.

It's that Smith System to blame. :)

It may be from the ones who can not tell when a safe following distance is and have a itchy finger, for the ones who do the high beam at night them eclipse glasses work great, all you see is a little bulb lighting up.

I usually point a bright, LED light down into their car as they pass. Freak them out a little bit like a UFO is hovering above them.

When a driver is behind you with brights on hit your floods on your trailer if you have them.

They won't be behind you long after that.
