My name is Teal , My boyfriend is a long haul truck driver. I am new to all of this. Waiting for him to come home , balancing home life , working and communicating with him. I know I must sound like such a "newbie" . But we are both ARMY vets and have had time apart before . If you could give a piece of advice for a homestead spouse , what would it be ?
new to this ...

Welcome aboard!
My advice is skype every night, and work towards a job that is home daily or every few days.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
There's a thread on here named "Ladies Room" and it's for women in your situation. Check it and maybe get some good information.

Welcome to TTR.
I can't give you advice, but I can give you my opinion, --- which is as follows,
IMO, the harder of the two jobs, driving a Big truck and staying back keeping the home-20 fires burnin', is the one who remains at home. Not all are cut out to handle that program alone.
Problems pop up while a Big truck truck driver is thousands of miles away, leaving it all for a spouse left back home on their own to git-er-dun while their mate is out Big truck truckin'. And when they get back to their home-20 they'll tell y'all how rough it is to drive a Big truck over-the-road.
Just smile and let 'em think so.
Good luck and best of success.csmith1281 and MACK E-6 Thank this. -
